Trapeze

I'm pretty much up to the final scene of Love By Numbers; but its a sizeable scene, so much to do.
I've prepared my Flash stage for animating the couple swinging on the trapeze. Huzzah.
Its starting to get tedious as all I seem to be doing is staring at a computer screen all day. Moan moan moan! I do apologise.

Grr, YouTube is irritating with its stupid ways of having to export animations and such.

Collections completed maybe we hope so huzzah?

I'm thinking I've finished my Collection of Quotes animation. Although it could also be the fact that I've had enough and I've already got loads to do for my other project, so I've got to stop sooner or later I suppose. So there.

I'm going to attempt uploading the silly animation to YouTube. I was trying to do it the other night but once uploaded the videos were really jolty and hardly moving at all; I went on the forums and it says I could either not have the most recent Flash Player, or when I export the animation, the encoding on it isn't right, and it needs to be different. So I need to have a play or what not. If I can be bothered.

I find if I don't think about the HUGE amount of work I've got to do in just over 2 weeks then I don't panic or what not. Its okay. Its okay.

LOVE BY NUMBERS:
- finish animating 2 more scenes.
- record a bloody male voice
- go through and do corrections I've spotted
- Put the sounds and animations all together in After Effects
- Put it on a DVD all nice like

THEN, theres all the stupid PORTFOLIO STUFF:
- Corrections to portfolio pages already done
- Portfolio pages for Collection of Quotes and Love By Numbers
- Some sort of Showreel/DVD to go with portfolio

And just need to put COLLECTION OF QUOTES:
- on a CD/DVD

Yeeaaaah. Its actually not as much as I thought it would have been. But its still a lot. But it can be done, man! It can be done, dagnab!
So yes, Collection of Quotes DONE. It has to be.

Watching Red Dwarf commentary. Cause its great.

Was watching Family Guy: the Story So Far before, and it was actually quite interesting to watch. So ya know, if ya see it on the telly box....go watch it!

HEEEEY! YouTube worked! Here is my animation! Woo!

Red Dwarf

I love Red Dwarf.
I mean old Red Dwarf. Not the new episodes from a few days ago...I think they were just novelty to see the characters again...
But old Red Dwarf *sighs*

Series 5 still my favourite! Its just great because its a sci-fi show, but the characters are just as hopeless and such as they would be in the real world. Its quite comforting to watch really. Cause usually these types of shows are full of heroic people and such, but these are a bunch of hapless idiots that some how get by...which I feel is how we tinker along in life; hence why it is comforting. I suppose an american equivalent of this would be Futurama, which kind of does the same but Red Dwarf is older and cornier looking, which I love. Although I do love the sort of storylines they have in both, just cause they are bizarre but they do really make you think. Like Demons and Angels, good versions and bad versions of yourself, and it basically coming to the conclusion that the good and the bad has to be merged together for any hope of surviving!
Plus I love over the top evil characters, the ones that OOZE evil, they're great...like
Ursula
Oogie Boogie (gotta love big fat bad guys with great Disney songs!)
Jareth
Kuja
Sephiroth
The gnome out of Return to Oz
Yubaba
Ugly Betty lady that I can't spell the name of
Davey Jones
Captain Barbossa

Anyway, I'm just procrastinating, so I should stop now. (Psst psst, I wanna make a collage of all the characters I wuv now! Oh the WUV! *flails*)

Working on Love By Numbers this very moment. So much to do. Panic. Panic.

I think I've finished animating the Collections animations. The animation for 'so much' looks kinda crappy to me...but I don't have any other ideas for so much....and whether I've got time to do another one. Well, I'm gonna spend tomorrow compositing it all together, I can always change the 'so much' if I think of a new idea for it or what not...

Some LBN screen shots

The rolling pin scene took ages to put together and the like. It was quite difficult to match up the dialogue to the actual imagery, which i hadn't really fore seen so it took longer than I thought. Wooh-zer I do have to say...
Ahhhhhhhhh, Love By Numbers, why did I have to make you so loooooooooong??!! *faints*

Am re-watching Red Dwarf. Up to Series 2 at the moment. Chris Barrie is so young and sprightly! Wowzer!

Face Paints

Heeeey, there was a face painter lady in my work on Saturday, so I was her 'experiment', face paints are so cool. I love the array of colours she had on her desk, and the glitter! Honestly, I think you could like, go on a night out with this face paint on, its amazing. Cases Faces

Anyhoo, what have I been getting on with over the week then?
Well, I've pretty much finished drawing out the frames for my Collections animation. I just need to photograph it and mess about with timings and stuff; make it long enough so a person can read it in good time! The new camera I bought is pretty darn amazing, and it was cool cause it was quite cheap, but it EATS batteries like they're chocolate fudge cake or pickled onion or something. I'm thinking of investing in a rechargeable battery set or what not.

I've been working on Love By Numbers too! Have realised I've got 4 more scenes to do, and I've done half of one today. So yeah. So, say it takes a day to do half a scene, this means it'll take 8 days to finish off these scenes...in theory....so over a week...which is good. That leaves me a week to do corrections and add odds and sods to it...and possibly even add sound and such.
No one from LIPA seems interested in my pledge for a male voice actor, but to be fair I didn't even offer like payment or anything....maybe I should of? Oh well.
So much to do. So much to do. So little time....

I've found a good website were I can use sounds for free, as long as I credit them in my animation:
free sound
Its quite useful, I do have to say...

Credits

The collections animation is coming along okay, have done most of the corrections for the last quote and am now thinking about the intro and conclusion.
The intro is going to be written out, accompanied by pencil noises, buuuut I feel like there needs to be some sort of explanation to go with it. But I don't want it to sound corny and naff...

Just like....

Quotes can provide bucket loads of advice, comfort, and inspiration to those who stumble upon them during their lives. This animation hopefully heralds what could be a library of quotes for others to discover and enjoy...

I dunno, something like that? Too pretentious? Or building it up too much? As if its going to be something spectacular....when its not really...
Hmmm, I think it shall do.
Hopefully....

Oh bottoms.

Hats

I can hear the chanting of actual Lady Green work slowly getting louder and louder. Lets hope not too many people want to buy plants because of the old Grand National tomorrow. And lets hope I win a sweepstake cause I really want to! ... Even though I feel guilty on the horses... but I still do it anyways... I suppose I do it cause it reminds me of Dad and the like.

Have been working on my Collections throughout the day. Have completed all corrections for No one can make you feel inferior without your consent and am now plodding through the corrections for Always forgive your enemies, nothing annoys them so much. Boo yah.

So if I'm really really really amazingly good. I will also finish the corrections for that one before Monday, which means I can go in and photograph them and THEN all I'll need to do is animate the intro and credits and THEN its just a matter of compiling it all together in a happy little animated puddle. YEAH!

Now heres a fun video to entertain all the family:

Collections

Dog garn it. I need to do some work for my Collections project or what not...think I shall start tomorrow after having a nice resty poo poos. (Went to the Races today, in which I won no money, huzzah. Lets share the photos of the day HERE Flickr is bizarre and confusing, they forced me to get a yahoo account! Why?!)
Just thought I'd put some screen shots up anyways...

I'm currently working on the corrections for 'No one can make you feel inferior without your consent'.
And I kind of want to have these corrections done by this Monday, as thats what I've been usually doing... just cause its Easter holidays doesn't mean I should rest...although I can totally see me doing that. Oh well. There is no Fable II to distract me so I should be okay.
Have contacted LIPA about whether anyone there would be willing to voice act for me and the receptionist was very kind and has forwarded my e-mail and the like. If not, Mike said I could use him as a 'last resort', as he calls it.
So just want to focus on this quote for now.

The thought of what the transitions are going to be between each quote is starting to slink into my mind. I'm hoping that After Effects can make it look like the camera is panning from one quote to the next; otherwise I'm gonna have to make some simple little transitions to go in between, which I don't particularly want to do....
Eeep eeep. Panic starting to loom up again. Eep Eeeep.

Adam & Joe will make me feel better. I wuvs them. I want to be like Ollie the wally and sit in on one of their shows one day! Oh I wish I wish I wish!

Ooooh, I did some sketches for a potential Sleeping Beauty project I might do....buuuuut I have no pics cause I didn't think that far ahead before typing. Yeah.

And lastly, here is a video from an anime that I've never heard of, but this just looked like so much fun to make:
