Another update on what I've been up to!
I've been accepted on an internship at the Ariel Trust, and so have started drawing up ideas for their RATS (a CD-ROM for schools teaching about alcohol road safety) thing. We have to think of some ideas for games that the class can play that also links into their curriculum. So Ariel thought of linking it in with Physics & Biology, so have been searching in my noggin' for some fun computer games that the kids could play! Its been interesting working to a brief again, especially a live one! We have a meeting with one of the schools on Thursday, so I'll be getting experience in consulting with the client or what not...which is cool!
Anyway, heres a couple of quickly composed pics to go with my ideas!
In this idea, the player gets to pick what drink their character will have, and you get to see the character getting more and more drunk (of course theres a choice of non-alcoholic beverages too!). And then when the bar closes the player has to drive their character in a driving simulation. Depending on how much the character has consumed, the more difficult it will be to get around the 'mini obstacle course'!
This is a game composed of mini games - sort of influenced by Cooking Mama and WarioWare, really.
A drunken comprehension quiz at the bar! Woo! Who wouldn't love the bar man quizzing you on Science when you're half shot?!
Theres a few other ideas, but I'll leave it at that for now!
And I've also made bar charts! Woo! Look at here this one!
Theres a few others going in a similar vain. So there you go. Those of some physical examples of what I've been up to!
(Also loving FF8 all over again. Cooking Mama 3 is good but harder. 'Up in the Air' was a good movie but then just disappointing, George Clooney just hasn't got it right in ANY of the films I've seen him in in the past YEAR. Mario & Luigi Inside Bowser seems interesting but haven't played it for too long. Have read the 2nd book in the Bone Doll's Twin series and it kicked some serious bum, better than the first I fellt - still not as good as Robin Hobb though. Made a Chocolate Orange Fudge Cake and it kicked some serious ASS.)
And a video to round it off:
