Thats all I've got at the moment. Shall hopefully have more in a bit, as I have to do some research for games for the Ariel Trust (who I will be signing a short term contract with soon, saying I will be doing some FREELANCE work for them! Which is slightly suave I've gotta say!) But yeah. Thats it. I painted a ceiling today and it was painful. But now its really white. Cool! (I sometimes think I if I could be a painter & decorator, maybe that can fall under some of my freelance work!?) Oh yeah! And I also made Teriyaki Chicken Stir Fry from my wagamama cookbook yesterday! And it came out pretty darn good!! Mine looked way better than this one! And I also made a pitta pizza today, which came out pretty good too! High five for Claire broadening her culinary skills!
Anyway. Thats pretty much it. Ideas are churning, things are being scanned, I just need to keep going!
Well, theres not much to report. The last week I have been filling in difficult application forms, finding ways to open my flash games on BOTH PC AND MAC, (oh how technologically advanced of me), going on the wii fit and nearly DYING* trying to "sand board". (*This is a slight exaggeration, although I have discovered I have a fear of sliding/jumping down steep slopes)
And thats pretty much it. Have updated my little side panel photo thing so you can see some of my doodles.
(Watched Nick & Norah's Infinite Playlist yesterday, there were some bits that were absolutely ridiculous - girl having 'proper' orgasm in recording room, I mean...NO. Although it made for a good laugh. Then there were funny bits such as gay man head butting some other guy...YES. And I've officially decided...Michael Cera...you're alright. I've seen him be kind of good in too many things to justify my hatred for him. Plus I've found out hes not that much younger than me so he doesn't really fall under my "Famous young people who earn billions of pounds and are therefore annoying" list. Huzzah!) (Oh yeah! And I really wanna see How to Train Your Dragon, dagnabbit! The people are raving about it! Well, lots of people on Deviantart are anyway...)
The Grand National is ovvvveeeeer. And I can now **reveal** what I've been up to for the past week or what not! Firstly, I completed a watercolour painting that had been sitting on my drawing board for well over a month (a lot of things cropped up!), and it was a present for my dear boyfriend celebrating his 21st!
It took me a very long time to draw out and paint, but it was fun to do! I like doing personalised paintings like this, with lots of things going on cause it means people have to study them for ages to see everything that is going on! I suppose I just like a reason to stare at something for a long period of time, busy-ness just makes a picture more interesting! But yes, that is done and completed and received, so no more worrying about that!
And then I've also been working on a new sort of game for the Ariel Trust as part of their Road Safety CD-ROM, its basically a Distance/Time graph, but the user can click a button and change the speed and therefore change the line on the graph.
Okay, not the most exciting thing in the world but it does have sound effects! Yeah! So whilst doing that, I've started using a book to teach me a few more things in ActionScript, which is sort of scary, but kind of cool, as I'm actually able to read some code and know whats going on and such! (Which may not be cool in cool kids eyes, but I think the nerd kids will be looking on at me in pride!)
And yeah. Actually, thats all I've been up to really, which I assure you has taken me more time to do than I'm making out! But I've now said to my part time job that I'm no longer available to do extra hours, as the last few weeks have been so hectic and I'd rather be paying attention to getting a job in an area of work that I actually want to do! But I'm sure my tune will change when I want more money, but I'll hold out till then...!
Oh yeah! And I found some interesting videos to do with business/human behaviour on Friday, obviously they've been made more interesting by the COOL illustrations that are going on at the same time, so I may have to try something similar to this guy too! As it looks like a lot of fun to do!
