Like ohmagosh!
(Yes, I have been looking for a job, but before getting into THAT...) Dude, I bought Final Fantasy XII t'other day...and I have to say....its getting....kind of good! Wow! I was so not expecting that! I generally thought it was gonna be poo, but dude! I've been playing it for over 7 hours, and it wasn't all bad! Yay! Apart from Vaan being far too similar to Tidus (and the horror of me realising I preferred Tidus to Vaan, I mean, what the hell? Has the world gone topsy turvy?) And THEN once you get over the whole 'What? I have to BUY magic and techniques and weapons and armour AND THEN I have to bloody unlock them through the license board or what not?' thang, then its all hunky dorey. Woo! And yes, I know this is like years afterwards, but I tend to get into games once the hype of them has calmed down...I'm not really sure why...
(I also bought Sly Raccoon, but its just embarrassing how difficult I'm finding the stupid game and how a 5 year old could probably beat me on it...I'm no longer the gamer I used to be...perhaps the Wii has made me soft?)
PIIIIRRRRAAAAAATTTTTTEEEEE FFFIIIIIISSSSSSHHHHHH!!!
But yes! Have entered 4 competitions at the momento. And found a new one last week called ze Disposable Film Festival which I may have a crack at for laffs, cause I quite like doing stop motion but I never seem to do it. I'm thinking of adapting something from some diary pages...perhaps...
But yeah, I spent last week looking at graduate websites and the whole thing was just depressing and...yeah, pretty much depressing. So I may just focus on getting ANY job at the moment, but also work on little personal projects inbetween. I dunno. We shall see! Yes precious yes.
Found an interesting website today: Skill-Set. Its all about the animation industry and the like; but I do feel aren't these things my university should of king of taught me? Sure, they say we're a "graphic arts" course, but I was told that animation was covered underneath that heading, but to be honest I've felt over looked throughout the course (in terms of being taught about the industry and such...) Oh well.
Anyway, likeohmagod (again), our family has invested in a Wii Fit...and its okay....
(Yup, thats pretty much it. Although I do have to say I feel kinda pervy just doing the hula hoop on my own, without a hoop....yeah, I kinda feel like in Fable II when you can do the "Vulgar Thrust" command. Yeah.)
OOOHHH!!! AND I saw War of the Worlds last night! Woo! It was C O O L.
The big hologram head was so much cooler than on the DVD version, they had done stuff to it so it moved alot more and didn't look so weird! And the Artillery Man was great! The Echo Arena I've gotta say is pretty darn impressive too. And yes. It was good. So yeah.
And a video to round the evening (or in my case, very early morning) off with...
And a link to the website just cause the intro amuses me so much.....BUENO THE BEAR
