Like, my room is oh so very cosy right now. Portable heaters kick serious bum. Its the first time that my room is the warmest room in the house.
So yes. I've entered a design into the Rhino Mania campaign, which is the same as the Go Penguins one except its rhinos and its in Chester. My idea is to just paint a giant banana split on it...cause how yummy and colourful would that look?
I've also entered my Love by Numbers into a competition held in Germany called Pictoplasma! So heres a hoping.
And RIGHT at this very minute I'm working on my STANDARD CV for job people. Because my older one...was pretty old....and it looked like the CV of an 80 year old, there was a time when I thought serif typeface just looked classy and cool, but not the way I used it, oh no. So its gone, new sans serif has come to take over! I feel so modern...like I've just got digital tv or got a new snazzy phone or something.
I went to see the acclaimed Avatar t'other day. Which I didn't want to like due to James Cameron just COPYING the name of the ultra cool cartoon tv series on nickelodeon called AVATAR (which is immaculate and I love it...no, you don't understand...I LOOOVE it), I mean, when The Last Airbender comes out...people are gonna be all confused cause its the name of Cameron's film, and the confusion will instantly turn to hate and hate leads to suffering (Yoda stylee)...But anyway. I get sidetracked. James Cameron Avatar was actually really quite good, the graphics really are as beautiful as the magazines say...and the I was gripped, gripped I tell you in the cinema! So there you go...people should probably go to see it as it is rather epic and will probably reach the same status as Titanic and James Cameron will be sitting and laughing on the corpses of Aang and Katara and such as he blends and gulps down his millions of dollars. So yaeh. Its actually good.
I also started and finished the OFFICIAL sequel to Bram Stoker's Dracula...which was what I expected considering the differences between the time periods in which the books were written. Sex and gore, huzzah. But I was offended they made Mina Harker out to be some sort of whore...I mean,,,there was no hint that Mina Harker actually LIKED it when Dracula drank her blood in the original book, so why suddenly change it in the sequel? Oooooh, I just felt like it kind of dirtied one of the most pure and good characters in the book. But to be fair they did it with poor Jonathon Harker as well. I mean, he was a good guy and then they turn him into a drunk whos frustrated he can't pleasure his wife in the bedroom due to Dracula setting such a high bar. Ooooh it makes me angry. They were good and innocent characters, man! Sorry, the imaginary people probably have no clue as to what I'm talking about. Read the books and then you'll understand my pain.
But there was one hilarious line Dracula said to Mina near the end of the book (when it just went really quite silly). Its when Mina changes out of her dreary clothes into the more revealing dress that Lucy owned (cause lets face it, she was kind of slutty) and Dracula walks in and says:
"You are a feast.....
......for the eyes!"
Heeeeeeh, it just makes me laugh. (Oh yeah, there are many spoilers in that last paragraph, but I can't imagine a great deal of people actually caring if I gave away what happens in that book...)
AND finally, I received Brutal Legend and Zelda: Phantom Hour Glass for Christmas. And I'm actually shocked at which game I like more, which is Zelda! Its so much fun! Which I just didn't think would happen! The puzzles are just hard enough to confuzzle me slightly but not make me go on the internet for the answer as then I just feel like I've failed cause I've had to ask the internet (you know how judgey it is). And Brutal Legend...is ooookay...I love Jack Black...but I think thats the only reason I keep playing it. Just doesn't have the same amount of fun or humour that the likes of Psychonauts had. It just seems to be a platform game for people who adore and idolize Guitar Hero (which don't get me wrong, kicks ass), it just doesn't seem to have too much substance to it, as of yet. I may be proved wrong. (Plus when Ozzy Osbourne turned up, that made me smile)
But yeah. I should stop procrastinating and get on with this CV. Bye love you bye! (Can't talk about the lack of Adam & Joe in our lives at the moment...perhaps next blog post?!)
