Rhino Mania

Heeey! Good news! I entered a design into the Rhino Mania event that happening in Chester pretty soon (I entered this design about 6 months ago now!) and I've just been contacted to say I have a late sponsor who would like my design on a rhino! Which is cool! So there is my design up there! Its just a big old banana split! So I'm hoping it'll look somewhat bright & colourful somewhere!
Now the bad news is its a massive long 2 hour journey for me to get to the place to paint it, and I've only got 12 days to paint and varnish the mother-trucker...so yes, its a bit stressful, but I'll give it my best shot! I'm all prepped with paints and what not! (Not sure if I've got enough!)

I've also been down to Nottingham in the last few days to see the degree show of the Fine Art students, for my good friend Jen was in it! (The lady I did a tea logo for!) Her work was very clever and smart (which my poor old brain just couldn't comprehend cause I'm an idiot) But yes, theres photos of that show on the side there!
I always enjoy degree shows, especially Fine Art ones cause they're always quite fun and the work is certainly eye catching! Like, one of the pieces in the show was a dead turtle.... Yeah. That was odd. I didn't take a photo of that one out of respect. But my point is, that theres many a talking point in a Fine Art degree show and this one was no exception! I enjoyed it, it was fun!

And in other news I am currently obsessed with the Westside Story soundtrack aaaaand I'm reading Little Women. Woo hoo! And thats that!

Yamsterdam

Good day and good boo.
Have completed amendments to work for the Ariel Trust, and I'm rather chuffed that they didn't take me forever or make me shout in anguish too much (although I've officially jinxed it now). So yes. Completed that for my meeting tomorrow when I'll hopefully get a new game to start work on, oh the excitement!

Had a trip to Amsterdam at the end of last week, and I gotta say...it was AWESOME! How cool is Amsterdam? They're so laid back and nice (even though the city is like full of tourists all the time!). And the canals are so cooool. I liked it all. Not to mention that there was a Wagamama located literally 3 minutes down the road from us. Kick Ass.

Anyway. Yes. Not much else to report on the work front yet.
Watched 'Ghosts of Girlfriends Past' yesterday and I have to say I wasn't as disappointed as I thought I would be by it. Cause I'm sure Jennifer Garner was in 27 Dresses, and 27 Dresses was an abysmal movie. Woo mama that was a stinker.

Hellllooo, the following are pics of everything I've been working ooonnnn...











Now some of it, is earlier work from a whileo ago, but I've been working on a main menu where you can navigate all these crazy things! It has the speed camera game & distance/time graph; and the newly corrected Top Trumps & Who Wants to be a Millionaire game. It has been a learning curve, as it always is with me. Actionscript 3 can make you very happy and very angry in a very short space from one another...oh THE ANGST!1!
But yaaaar, thats what I've been working on. as well as making whoopie pies and cooking barbeques. Man I love food.

I have my meeting tomorrow to show the stuff I've been working on. I'm chuffed cause I found some relevant code I could use, and it worked and everything! It gives me hope that I can sort of get my head around Actionscript!
Anyway, up there are just a few Rob Ryan inspired doodles, I quite enjoyed using a felt tip pen. Harks back to primary school days...
Anyway, I was cooking a simple lunch for myself today and found a smiley face that just looked way too familiar...



Heeeh, it made me laugh anyway. (I don't eat smiley faces all the time....but they're pretty good, man!)
