Painted Characters - Part 3 - COMPLETE!

Hooray! My painted characters are finally complete! I rather enjoyed making them, although there is a lot more pressure when you're creating original art work to sell - even when its in a more cartoon-y style (I can only imagine the amount of panic attacks I would have if I was making a hyper realistic original art piece - my hat goes off to anyone who does that)!

So anyways, here they are, in all their glory:

These are all basically characters that I like out of various films and TV shows. I would love to do more and am even open to suggestions, so if you would like to suggest a character you can e-mail me at claire@nafftastic.co.uk

These original watercolour pieces are up for sale in my shop, RIGHT NOW. Woah.
So if you would like to take a closer look at them and perhaps even buy one for yourself or friend, you can mosey on down to my Nafftastic Etsy Shop.

Painted Characters Part 2

Hello there.
You may remember from a previous blog post that I was talking about some watercolour illustrations of some favourite characters I was working on. Well, I have now finished painting and I just need to add a few finishing touches before they can be put on sale in my Etsy shop. But alas, I am departing off on holiday tomorrow morning and so won't be able to upload these wee beauties till next weekend, so here is a sneak peek of my work before the last bit of pencil is added to them!

So there we go! My shop will be closing this evening (11th September) at about 9pm, but will open again on the evening of Friday 19th September, so I shall only be gone for about a week and then sci-fi goodness of the nafftastic shop will ensue! Huzzah! See you all in a week!

Blue Peter's Dress for Success

Just a quick blog post to show the little bit of involvement I had in the recently launched Blue Peter's Dress for Success game.

Splinter Design was commissioned by the folks at the BBC to re-design a game which would feature the presenters of Blue Peter. Ste Woods was the man in charge of illustration of the game, whilst I offered support with the title screen, incorrect screens and the UX design (if I'm using that term correctly... basically all the buttons and the what not)!

I enjoyed adding funny scenarios to the fail screens, I think my favourite is the raspberry-blowing alien!

So there you go, the Dress for Success game can be played over at the CBBC website, over HERE!
